ROEL Progresses on Construction of Rancho Bernardo Inn Conference Center
San Diego , CA … ROEL Constuction Co. Inc. is progressing on the construction of the new conference center at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. Located on Bernardo Oaks Drive, the one-story 27,439-square-foot conference center will include a 10,000-square-foot ballroom, 6,700 square feet of pre-function space with an indoor/outdoor fireplace, a commercial kitchen, a swimming pool and spa surrounded by cabanas, and a new 3,200-square-foot lawn area with an adjacent trellis-covered patio. The architecture of the building will compliment the look of the existing high-end, Spanish-style resort and will feature a traditional two-piece clay tile roof, exposed wood rafters, and french doors. Completion is scheduled for March 2007.
Rancho Bernardo Inn/JC Resorts is the owner represented by Paul Reed and Jason Durbin. David Mann and Mike D'Ambrosia of Architects | Delawie Wilkes Rodrigues Barker make up the design team. GSSI Structural Engineers , Latitude 33 , ILA + Zammit Engineering Group , and McParlane & Associates are the consultants to the design team. Burton & Associates is the landscape architect. ROEL representatives include Mike Berryhill as senior project manager, Sean McCormack as project manager, Craig Tyler as superintendent, and Hilary Alarcon as project coordinator.
Subcontractors for this $10 million project include G.F. Whillock, Anderson Drilling, Rand Engineering, Quality Reinforcing, Lyons Masonry, San Diego Construction Welding, Davis Framing, Saddleback Waterproofing, Paradise Roofing, Raymond Corp., ThyssenKrupp Elevator, Burns Fire Protection Systems, KMP Plumbing, Bingham Heating and Air, and Bergelectric.
