ROEL COMPLETES TENANT IMPROVEMENTS ON THE TIVOLI

San Diego , CA … ROEL Construction has completed tenant improvement construction for The Tivoli located at 505 Sixth Avenue in downtown San Diego . The Tivoli is one of San Diego 's oldest bars and boasts an opening date of 1885. This 1,200-square-foot re-imaging project consisted of removing the back of house area and existing stairs, and adding a new bar/dining area, sidewalk patio, restroom, and stairs. It also included remodeling the 2 nd floor restrooms and adding a new roof. During all the renovation, the original mahogany bar was kept and brought back to its original beauty and the hand carved jukebox remains ready for use when a live band isn't playing.
Robert Romero is the owner and Randy Biegenzahn of Architectural Concepts is the architect. Juan Ramirez of Green Mechanical , Randy Minnier of MPE Consulting , and Ali Andre Malek of Malek Engineers Inc. made up the design team. ROEL representatives included Dave McCarthy as group manager, Lauren Allen as project manager, Gary Meredith as superintendent, and Mindy Bryant as project coordinator.
Subcontractors for this $360,000 project included Casper Company, Signature Contractors, Davis Framing Inc., Hathaway Door & Trim Company Inc., Insulcom, RDM Weatherproofing & Contracting, Ideal Mechanical, Superior Door System, La Mesa Glass, Sun Coast Drywall Systems, Apptek, ReSource Floors Inc., Anchor Construction Specialties Inc., Green Mechanical Contractors, Green Mechanical Contractors , and PCF Electric .
