ROEL® CONSTRUCTION PROGRESSES ON L'AUBERGE DEL MAR RENOVATION 

Del Mar, CA… ROEL Construction Co. Inc. is progressing on the renovation of L'Auberge. Located on 1540 Camino Del Mar, this 125,000-square-foot project will be completed in multiple phases. Phase one of the renovation includes the entry and arrival area, lobby, guest rooms, meeting space, pool and terrace areas. The new entry will be surrounded by lush landscaping and feature large estate columns, while the revived lobby will include elegant dark wood floors, white beamed ceilings, and bold furnishings. The guestrooms at L'Auberge are undergoing a complete transformation involving a sophisticated new look paired with the latest in technological advancements and personal amenities. Fourteen ground level rooms will enjoy patio cabanas providing guests with intimate settings both in and outdoors.

Over 12,000-square-feet of indoor, outdoor meeting and event space will be transformed, including six uniquely designed meeting rooms and several beautiful outdoor venues with views of the Pacific Ocean . Adjacent to the main lobby will be a new pool deck featuring a fireplace and a twelve seat open bar and private cabanas where adults will enjoy a serene environment. A family pool will also be available for children to enjoy their own special play area. This $13 million phase is scheduled to complete late May, 2008, just in time for the U.S. Open.

In 1989 ROEL completed construction of the original L'Auberge two months early. The original five-star luxury resort hotel project included 123 guest rooms with 239 underground parking spaces, retail shops, restaurants, lounge and tennis courts with spectacular ocean views. ROEL completed the wood-frame and stucco project under the design/assist method, with design/build mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. L'Auberge has undergone numerous transformations since then and has continually been recognized with the travel industry's highest honors. The most current renovation is no exception.

Andre Kikoski of Andre Kikoski Architect, PLLC is the interior designer and Kristine Penberthy of Joseph Wong Design Associates is the architect. Harrold Stueven of -Stueven Engineering Consultants is the mechanical engineer.
