ROEL Completes Tenant Improvement Construction for National University
San Diego , CA … ROEL Construction has completed tenant improvements for National University 's Spectrum Campus located at 9388 Lightwave Avenue . The 1,940-square-foot project consisted of the conversion of two standard classrooms to a new laboratory including an operable partition to divide the room. The project also included new millwork with built in gas, electrical, and data at student/instructor workstations, new flooring finishes and paint, custom Marlite markerboards, new projection screens and projectors, chemical fume hood and exhaust fans with one-pass air, new plumbing including chemical neutralization tanks, and electrical upgrades.
Mr. Alan Smith was the representative for National University . Mr. Mark Mitchell of Mark Mitchell AIA Architecture and Planning was the architect . Mr. Charles B. Hope, Jr. of Hope Engineering was the structural engineer and mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm work was all contracted as design-build by California Comfort Systems USA, KMP Plumbing, Joe Jackson Electric, Western Fire Protection, and Simplex-Grinnell respectively. ROEL representatives included Betty Lynn Senes as project executive, Chad Barnes as project manager, Ania Sorbe as project coordinator, and Jonathan Wdowiak as the on-site project superintendent.
Subcontractors for this $255,000 design build project included Western States Concrete Services Inc., Titan Steel Fabricators Inc., Woodcrafters, Ralston Drywall Inc., J.P. Witherow Roofing Co., SCS Flooring Systems, B&B Acoustics Inc., Quality Painting & Wallcoverings Inc., Miller Paneling Specialties Inc., Hufcor Inc., and Simplex Grinnell, LP.
